Susie Kincade
Founder, Wild Earth Wisdom Camps
A life shaped by nature, leadership, and transition.
Book a Discovery Call with SusieWild Earth Wisdom Camps are rooted in the lived work of Susie Kincade—a practitioner, facilitator, and guide who has spent decades supporting children, women, and families through meaningful life transitions in nature. This work did not emerge from theory or trend. It grew through years of practice, relationship, and refinement — on the land, in circle, and alongside others.
A Lifelong Commitment to Empowerment
Susie is the founder of Women's Empowerment Workshop (WEW) and Wild Earth Wisdom Camps (WEWC), established in 2011 to offer transformational, nature-based retreats for women around the world. Her work has always focused on helping people meet change with clarity, courage, and a deeper sense of belonging—to themselves, to others, and to the living world.
A pioneer for women in collegiate sports at UCLA and a mother of four daughters, Susie's commitment to empowerment has been both personal and practical. Over time, she recognized that this work needed to include boys as well, expanding her youth programs to serve girls and boys ages 7 to 17.
Nature as the Foundation of the Work
An ICF-certified spiritual and life coach, trained ceremonialist, and ordained Minister at The StarHouse in Boulder, Colorado, Susie leads rites and rituals that mark life's significant passages. Her work draws from earth-based wisdom traditions, ceremony, and embodied learning—woven together with modern facilitation practices.
Rather than using nature as a backdrop, Susie works from the understanding that we are nature. The land, the elements, and natural systems become teachers—offering children and adults alike direct experiences of resilience, rhythm, challenge, and connection.
Camps Shaped Through Real Practice
The Wild Earth Wisdom Camps evolved through years of hands-on facilitation. Susie designed, led, observed, adapted, and refined each camp in real conditions—responding to group dynamics, developmental stages, weather, terrain, and the unpredictable realities of working outdoors with children.
Over the years, Susie has consistently mentored others to lead camps with care, presence, and integrity. This experience forms the backbone of the licensing model today—repeatable principles grounded in experience.
From Individual Leadership to Shared Stewardship
As the work matured, it became clear that its impact did not need to depend on one person. A strong framework had emerged—one that could be shared responsibly without losing depth. Licensing allows the work to remain locally rooted—led by people who are present, capable, and connected to their own communities.
Her role is not to direct or replicate herself, but to steward the integrity of the work while supporting others to make it their own.
A Living Practice, Carried Forward
Today, Susie continues to guide retreats, ceremonies, and mentoring work while supporting the next generation of facilitators and camp leaders through the Wild Earth Wisdom Camps licensing pathway.
“That this work continues to be lived, adapted, and offered with depth—across many landscapes, by many hands, in service of children, families, and the living world.”
