As we connect with nature and remember we are truly all living as one breath, one expression, we come home to our true nature, to our creative divine spirit and live in harmony with the gift that is Earth. All plants ever do is to continually give of themselves, to exist in beauty.

As we sit in presence within our environment and deeply listen to the rhythms, the scents, the cycles, we learn of the wisdom of the plants and the land which can be communicated as blessing or healing for the benefit of all beings.

Plant Spirit Wisdom

date tbc
9-4.30pm, Blue Mountains

All over the world, indigenous peoples have always communicated with plants and listened to their guidance. Everyone has the innate ability to experience the essence or pattern of consciousness of a plant and connect with the profound healing wisdom within nature. This workshop focuses on developing dynamic co-creative relationships with plants and herbs as allies for healing, communicating with and to be of service in our world. This very experiential workshop emphasises discovering your individual, innate responsiveness to our environment and exploring ways of connecting and communicating with the plant spirit world through meditation, shamanic journeying and opening all our senses.

Both workshops are held on beautiful, sacred land at Lawson, Blue Mountains, 9.00-4.30pm $125 per workshop.
Workshops can be attended either separately or together. Places are limited to 8 people only.

Plant Spirit Healing Retreat

this will be running as the 'Bridging Heaven and Earth Retreat' in 2013
Co-facilitated with Jane Elworthy

This retreat is a deepening of our connection with plants and plant energies. It will be expanding on the work experienced in the one day workshops (it is not necessary that you have attended all the workshops). We will be focusing on developing a co-creative relationship with plants via shamanic journeying, through healing and communicating with nature devic energies, connecting with and developing a dynamic relationship with our own particular plant ally.

Plant communications are like stones in water. The

ripples they create move throughout ecosystems;
they wash up against us. That we take plant words
in through our nose or our skin or our eyes or our
tongue instead of our ears does not make their
language less subtle, or sophisticated, or less filled
with meaning.          Stephen Buhner

This retreat is very experiential, with practical exercises to support and deepen our connection and communication with nature. As we meditate within a heart space and explore with all our senses, we can learn unique ways of communicating and to engage with the spirit of a plant. We will be working with traditional medical herbs as well as native shrubs and trees, rocks and the land. When we harvest our herbs with awareness of the plant spirit, a conscious energetic rapport develops which enhances the potency of our medicines. Via shamanic journey work we will be exploring the gifts of the plants and their role of service in the world. We can participate in this level of unconditional offering through our awareness, our sense of unity with the plant and our love. Through this process, much is made available, not only for us, but the plant and its environment. Connecting in this way can be a path of spiritual service, extending far beyond the realms of a simple ‘medicine’.

The 'Bridging Heaven and Earth' retreat will also involve working with and experiencing sacred sound; for us to deepen into the rhythms, cycles and pulse of our own being and that of the earth.

The retreat will be held in the secluded and beautiful bush of Karuna Sanctuary, Katoomba which backs onto the escarpment overlooking Megalong valley, with many walks and peaceful areas. The workshop commences Friday at 2pm and will finish Sunday 4.00pm. Delicious vegetarian (and some fish) food is provided for all meals, with catering to all sensitivities.
